The Real Event was a fantastic time in Lord!!! Friday night sessions with parents invited took place at First Christian Church and Saturday was exclusively for youth here at “The Forge”. It was an exciting life challenging gathering for teens in our community with great sessions, Praise and Worship and yummmmmy food! Courtenay Bowser, TV host of cutting edge reality shows: “Real Girls, Real Life” and “Ultimate Choice” along with Dr. Drew Edwards, Educator and Behavioral Therapist, led sessions that offered practical advice on topics such as: Relationships, Life choices, Character builiding and more. Valley Forge Drama Team did the best job ever performing the Spirit-Filled “Set Me Free” Drama.

Tonight was the final Bible Bowl Battle and it was exciting. Everyone was sporting their new lime green shirts with the winning design from our T-Shirt vote. We had 120+ fans watching the action. The first game between the Stones and the Kings was close throughout with the Stones winning in the end 10,000 to 8,000 (Joseph decided that all questions were for 1,000 points since it was the final battle). The action really heated up in the second game between the Angels and the All-Stars. In an incredible display of Biblical knowledge, neither team missed a single question during the regulation time. We had to go to a scripture quoting overtime period, and the Angels edged out the All-Stars by one question with a final score of 24,000 to 23,000. I think it is safe to say that everyone in attendance, including both of our pastors, were amazed by the performance of all four teams. Thanks to everyone who came out and supported the Bible Bowlers tonight. Thanks especially to all the kids who participated.
Stones vs. Angels
Stars vs. Kings
The Angels won the first battle of the night, and the Stars beat the Kings in the second battle.
Don’t forget to vote for your favorite T-Shirt design!!
